Festoon Lighting

Festoon lamps are essentially small bulbs that provide an even light source. Originally, these types of light fixtures were primarily used within the car industry. These types of devices are nowadays used in homes, business/offices, museums and even for outdoor landscape design. The way you will probably encounter them is being used for decorative purposes. Xenon Festoon Lamps

These lamps have an interesting feature. Typical incandescent festoon lamps have an average life of 4000 hours. This is nothing special; the rate is similar to most other incandescent types. Xenon festoon lamps, however, have an average life of up to 20,000 hours. This incredible difference is achieved thanks to Xenon gas in the bulb, which is encased in the glass envelope of the lamp. The more refined gas increases the rated life of the lamp while also makes them more brilliant than regular incandescent festoon lamps.

As mentioned above, when combined with the Xenon gas the lamp emits a shimmering white light that is excellent for decorative purposes as well as accenting showcases and several types of furnishings. Moreover, since these products function at temperatures much lower than their incandescent brethren, it means that they are much easier to handle (and accidents and burns are much more infrequent). The light provided by these types of lamps is especially great for kitchens, work desks and any other areas where high levels of work light are needed.
